The Baxter/Automed Interface function allows for the creation of a data file which is transferred to the Baxter/Automed ATC computer. The data transferred consists of all Rx records which have been coded with a special time-of-day code and have been cycle filled for a specific period. Time-of-day codes are established for specific facilities and nursing stations or ALL stations within a facility. Each code contains a user defined time-of-day, entered in military time. The coding scheme allows for AM, MIDDAY, AFTERNOON, EVENING, BEDTIME and SPECIAL TIMES (or a combination of the above) to be established. In addition, special sig codes entered via prescription entry, allow for the designation of ODD and EVEN DAYS as well as 1/2 tabs. These codes may be added to or modified at any time. The data file created via the Baxter-Automed interface will generate multiple records per Rx, per day, depending upon the time-of-day entries for the particular code and the number of days billed. Specific facilities/patients/Rx's may be selected as well as specific times of day (AM, MIDDAY, etc.). The file may be sorted by patient name/date/time OR patient name/time/date. The transfer of the data to the Baxter/Automed computer is an automated procedure. The data file may be printed for verification.
